Different Like Us! includes more than 40 interviews with children and teens. Some have lost a parent, others have parents in prison. There are refugees, young carers, young people with disabilities and severe illnesses, and many more.
The book's aim is to increase understanding and kindness and to encourage all of us to accept and feel at ease with ourselves and others. The young interviewees talk about their daily lives, and the strengths that come with feeling different.
